Tom Simopoulos is a Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (“CIRO”) registered Portfolio Manager. He has over a decade of experience in the financial services industry, spanning capital markets trading, structured products derivatives, credit research, and private equity.

Tom holds a Bachelors of Commerce Degree from York University. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (“CFA”), a member of the Toronto CFA Society, and a member of the Canadian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (“CVCA”).

Elizabeth Naumovski is Investor Relations for Urbana Corporation (TSX and CSE: URB, URB.A), a publicly traded company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange and the Canadian Securities Exchange.

Elizabeth also serves as Vice President of Marketing at Caldwell Securities Ltd. She has been at the firm since 1997 and is responsible for marketing, corporate communications and public relations. She has her Chartered Marketer designation.

Elizabeth Naumovski is a multi-award winning financial literacy advocate and is honoured to be the 2021 & 2019 inaugural recipient of the Wealth Professional IFSE Institute Award for Financial Literacy Champion.

Elizabeth is extremely proud to be a 2020 Alumni of Distinction Award winner for Creative Arts & Design. Since winning the award, she has created the Elizabeth Naumovski Alumni of Distinction Bursary. This yearly bursary is for a single mother (or woman) enrolled in any STEM course at Mohawk College.

She is a Wealth Professional 2020 finalist for The Mackenzie Investments Award for Female Trailblazer of the Year.

As a way of giving back to her community she mentors young women and donates blood to Canadian Blood Services every 84 days. She has donated blood over 70 times.

Michael Gundy is president of Gundy Inc, a consulting firm providing strategic enterprise development services to small and medium sized firms as well as consortium management and project finance. This focus has involved clients in manufacturing, infrastructure, logistics and financial services on four continents.

Michael worked in production and design capacities for Perkins Engines Limited of Peterborough, England. He then started in the investment industry as a retail salesman with Wood Gundy Inc. Michael joined Caldwell Securities Limited becoming a Vice President and Director having been involved in sales, research and investment management.

He serves on the board of Urbana Corporation, a TSX Exchange listed investment company focusing on private investment opportunities as well as publicly traded securities and Caldwell Investment Management Ltd, a fund management company with a family of mutual funds. He serves on the Diocesan Council of the Anglican Diocese of Toronto.   He is a also member of the CFA Institute and the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Charlie Pennock is a Principal at Origin Merchant Partners and has over 30 years of investment banking experience at both Canadian and international investment banks.

Charlie has extensive industry experience in investment banking, syndication, debt & equity capital markets and bond sales with Stonecap Securities, Blackmont Capital, Midland Walwyn/Merrill Lynch, TD Securities and Richardson Greenshields. Charlie’s investment banking activities have included public and private debt & equity financings, M&A and advisory services across industrial products, financial services, real estate, mining and energy.

Charlie graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from Queens University.

George is a graduate of McGill University, Osgoode Hall Law School and is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors.

George was formerly Senior Partner at McCarthy Tetrault, Senior Counsel Gowlings, Chairman of the Executive Committee of PLM Group (acquired by Transcontinental Printing), Director of AuRico Gold (acquired by Alamos Gold), Chairman of Medworxx Corp. and Chairman and CEO of Titanium Corporation.

George is currently a Director of Urbana Corporation (URB: TSX, CSE), Candente Copper Corporation (DNT: TSX), the Canadian Securities Exchange and is an Advisor to Highview Financial Group.

Sylvia Stinson is the Chief Financial Officer of Urbana Corporation, a publicly traded investment company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange and Canadian Securities Exchange.

Sylvia has a wealth of experience in investment fund and public company accounting and reporting. Prior to joining Urbana in 2016, she was the Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer at a prominent long standing Canadian asset management firm, where she held various management positions of increasing responsibility from 1987 to 2015. Previously, Sylvia was a Senior Staff Accountant at Ernst & Young.

Sylvia holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto and has been a Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant since 1987.

Beth brings 40 years of business experience, with a focus on marketing, to this role.

Beth began her career in sales with IBM, worked in packaged goods marketing with Johnson & Johnson in Canada and McCain Foods in the U.S. and headed up marketing and merchandising for U.S. retailer Fanny Farmer Candies.

After 10 years client side, Beth joined Mosaic Marketing and Promotions Group where her last position held was as Executive Vice President.

In 2000, Beth started her own consulting practice specializing in marketing and strategic planning. In 2011, she and her business partner opened Sequoia Group, a boutique senior management and executive-level search firm.

Beth has completed the Director’s Education Program with the Institute of Corporate Directors and sits on the board of Urbana Corporation as well as on the board of Highview Financial Group.

Her previous experience includes Director of Polar Ray-O-Max Windows (Riverside Private Equity). She has also served as a member of the Marketing Advisory Committee of SickKids Foundation at The Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto, as well as on the Board Advisory Committee for Mully Children’s Family Charitable Foundation (supporting a home for children in Kenya).

Brendan Caldwell is the President & CEO of Caldwell Investment Management Ltd (“CIM”). The mutual funds for which Brendan acted as lead portfolio manager have won 5 Lipper Awards for CIM in recent years. He is also co-portfolio manager of Caldwell’s major exchange related investments, including Urbana Corporation and the Caldwell Growth Opportunities Trust.

Brendan earned his B.Sc. from Trinity College at the University of Toronto in 1991 and his M.A. in English Literature from the University of London, England, in 1992. Brendan has held his Chartered Financial Analyst (“CFA”) designation since 1995.

Prior to joining Caldwell in 1995, Brendan worked for a major Canadian mutual fund company and then a bank-controlled investment dealer. His securities exchange memberships have included Toronto, New York, the Chicago Board Options Exchange, the Kansas City Board of Trade and the American Stock Exchange (AMEX).

Brendan is a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute and a member of the Toronto Society of Financial Analysts, as well as the CFA Institute. Often interviewed for his insights into current economic issues and in regards to Caldwell’s role as an active investor in global securities exchanges, Brendan is a regular financial commentator and an industry consultant on numerous media outlets.

Brendan is the Honorary Lieutenant-Colonel of the Queen’s Own Rifles of Canada, our nation’s oldest rifle regiment. He is a member of the Church of Messiah, the Institute of Evangelism at Wycliffe College, the Corporation of Trinity College, Upper Canada College Council of 1829, the Board of Trustees of the Bishop Strachan School and the Campaign Cabinet for Neshama Playground, Canada’s first accessible playground for children with all abilities. Brendan is a Director of the Caldwell Foundation whose recent activities included a partnership with Free the Children to create the Caldwell Leadership Centre, a base for building schools in Rajasthan, India. Brendan received the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012 for his long record of philanthropy and volunteer service.

Married to Sandra since 1993, Brendan and his wife are the parents of four children. Brendan’s favorite way to relax is tree-planting and is building an arboretum in Fairvalley, Ontario.

Thomas S. Caldwell graduated from McGill University in 1965, and has been actively involved in the investment industry since that time.

Mr. Caldwell is President, CEO and Director of Urbana Corporation a publicly traded investment company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange and the Canadian Securities Exchange (“CSE”).

In 2014, he was inducted into the IIAC Investment Industry Hall of Fame. He is a past Member of the Board of the Conference of Defence Associations Institute in Ottawa.

Mr. Caldwell is also a retired Honorary Colonel of The Lincoln and Welland Regiment.

Mr. Caldwell is a past Governor of the Toronto Stock Exchange and one of the leading experts in capital markets, particularly in trading environments.

Urbana Corporation and its affiliated companies and investment pools, were the second-largest owners of the New York Stock Exchange prior to the NYSE’s demutualization.

Mr. Caldwell has, through his career, been actively involved in addressing social and community needs.

In 2003 he was appointed a Member of the Order of Canada for his work in assisting those in need as well as contributing to institutions working to better the lives of others.

Mr. Caldwell and his wife Dorothy have been married since 1966 and have two sons, Brendan and Theo, and four grandchildren.
